Dr. Don Walker is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission of Oriental Medicine and is nationally licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Having completed over 4,000 hours of intensive academic and clinical training, Don persisted at the top of his class. He studied traditional Chinese and Korean medicine at Wongu University of Oriental Medicine and was awarded a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine. He also completed a clinical/professional doctorate at Pacific College of Health and Science and was awarded a Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization degree.
Don began learning the philosophy of Asian healing arts from his mother, as his first guide and teacher. Healthy living was a way of life in his upbringing, consisting of traditional Asian cuisine from home gardening along with herbal food based remedies.
These experiences forged a path for Don to acquire a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Georgia State University, including studies in nutrition, rehabilitation and wellness. During an internship for Cardiac rehabilitation at Texas Medical Center, a profound interest was fostered in rehabilitative and preventative medicines.
After graduating, he worked as a Health Fitness Specialist at B.J. Margaret Bradshaw Wellness Center in Houston, Texas. He served clients with special health challenges such as diabetes, parkinson’s, alzheimer’s, heart surgery, knee and hip replacement surgery as well as other high risk health conditions.
Don has been a practitioner of traditional Chinese martial arts / qi gong over 25 years where he furthered his learning of healing arts having used herbal liniments for trauma, pain, sports related injuries as well as other traditional Chinese healing modalities such as tui na and acupressure.
He is a 5th generation direct student of the late Grandmaster Henry Poo Yee within the Chinese Kung Fu Academy of Southern Praying Mantis Federation, U.S.A. with authorization to teach and utilize the healing modalities he has learned.
When he isn’t practicing and studying, he enjoys teaching, hiking, cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Patricia Richards MSOM graduated with honors from UNLV with her BA degree in psychology in 2017, and she graduated from Wongu University of Oriental Medicine with her MSOM degree in 2022.
It was at Wongu Health Center that Patricia first treated patients working as an acupuncture intern. She is currently studying for her NCCAOM national board exams for acupuncture licensure in the state of Colorado.
Having grown up in the foster care system in Vancouver, Canada, empowered Patricia to move out on her own at 18-years-of age. This began her career path in the hospitality industry and in 2003, she moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in order to advance her career.
Her successful 20-year career in the Las Vegas hospitality industry included management positions, national and international mixology competitions, Mr. Steve Wynn himself, flying her first class to the Wynn Macau to work on their cocktail program and train staff members, as well as her cocktail recipes being featured in People, Costco Connection and Food and Wine publications.
Having had a mother with mental illness, Patricia became keenly aware at a young age of the prevention of health ailments through proper nutrition, exercise, a positive mindset, and stress management . In her early forties, she received acupuncture and herbal treatment for her perimenopausal symptoms and adrenal fatigue, which prompted a mid-life career change in traditional Chinese medicine.
These days, Patricia is excited to assist patients in achieving their health goals using natural medicine. As an operating partner in Dao West Healing Arts, LLC., she will be specializing in mind-body-spirit wellness, nutrition, herbal remedies, women’s health, and sound healing. In her free time, Patricia enjoys the great outdoors, reading, cooking, hiking and traveling.
